I have been working on getting my weight down and what the doctor says is healthy. This is the fourth week an we are doing ok.
My wife found and app call myfitnesspal. There is an iPhone and Android app both are free and this thing is great.
All you do is register on the site and tell it what you want to do. I told it I want to get to 180 lbs from 210 lbs and I want to lose 2 lbs a week. It tells me how many calories I get for the day and all I do is tell it what I am eating. I also tell it when I go run an I get extra calories to eat that day. It keeps track of proteins, fat, vitamins, and calories.
You can look up the food you eat in their large database or you can use the built in barcode scanner and scan the UPC of the food you are eating. This thing is awesome.
Currently I am down to 203 after 4 weeks.

Still Running
My wife and I have been running consistently now for the last 3 months.
We currently use miCoach from Adidas to track our runs. The app is free and there is an app for iPhone and Android.
We are currently at:

Vacuum Problems
We had enough money leftover in our budget so that I could get some nice to haves in my workshop.
I decided it would be real nice to have a vacuum in the shop. I am tired of sweeping.
We went to Home Depot and picked out the Stinger. It was certainly well priced for under $30.00.
To my surprise when I got it home and opened it up to put it to work this was a used item. Someone had purchased the vacuum used it and returned it to Home Depot. They decided it could be taped closed and put back on the shelf with all the dirt and nastyness left inside.
Well I decided that was not a good deal for me so I returned it. I talked to the manager that was working at the time and explained my problem. His simple response was "I am sorry please get another one off the shelf, this is the second time this has happened to me."
I did get another one and I will always make sure that I check my products before buying from Home Depot.
